I’ve always had a passion for understanding why dogs do the things they do. This passion drove me to pursue my diploma in canine behavior and continues to inspire me to continue learning so I can help dogs and their humans enjoy their lives together to the fullest!
I also have deep compassion for people who struggle with their mental health. I know how hard it can be when dealing with the weight of the world, and adding dog training on top of that seems impossible!
My goal is to provide a safe space for dog guardians and provide them with the same easy-to-follow tools I use to manage and train my dogs. I will never shame, blame, or guilt a dog guardian for their dog’s behavior. I know how stressful it can be living with a dog with behavior problems, and no one needs to feel shame on top of that!
With me you won’t just get a canine behavior practitioner and trainer, but a coach who will help accommodate and fit dog training into your life, not the other way around.
FOUNDER, CANINE BEHAVIOR PRACTITIONER AND DOG TRAINER
So what kind of training can you expect from me?
I only use methods that are backed by scientific research on canine behavior and training. This is a fear-free, force-free approach. I do not use punishment to stop an unwanted behavior, but instead help you teach alternate behaviors that lead to long-lasting desired habits and a strengthened bond between you and your dog.
This may include things like clicker training, desensitization and counterconditioning, and reward-based training. This is designed for you and your dog's success and done in bite-size sessions that can work into any busy schedule!
I will never ask you to do something that makes you or your dog uncomfortable. We can make powerful behavior changes without the use of pain or fear.
Your dog is learning every waking moment, and training should be enjoyable for both you and your dog!
You will see a lot of my own dogs, as well as client dogs in my videos.
Rue is my sweet and goofy Boxer mix who taught me so much about helping dogs overcome fears and give them more moments to just be a dog!
My active and loveable Border Collie who helped me learn new tools and methods for living with and training energetic breeds. He is the reason I started trick training and fell in love with it!
